President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. officially inaugurated the San Lazaro Residences, a 20-storey modern housing complex built through strong national-local collaboration in an unprecedented three months. The project features 382 residential units and 169 parking slots, marking a milestone in efficient urban housing development.

Located in a prime area, the San Lazaro Residences uniquely integrates essential public health facilities. The lower floors accommodate the Manila Public Health Laboratory and the Lanuza Health Center, enhancing medical accessibility for residents and the community.

During the inauguration, President Marcos lauded the City of Manila for institutionalizing progressive urban housing policies. He specifically praised the recent Manila ordinance that mandates affordable housing for families earning Salary Grade 18 (SG 18) and below, emphasizing that this legal framework ensures inclusive housing opportunities for the most vulnerable sectors.

"This housing project exemplifies our Maasahan at Masipag governance – reliable and diligent service that accelerates dignified, modern, and inclusive urban housing," said President Marcos. "Our administration's focus on fast-tracking quality housing reflects our commitment as the Reliable Builder of Inclusive Communities."

He further emphasized the administration’s guiding principle: "Reliable Homes, Tireless Urban Development: Dignified housing delivered efficiently," which underscores the government's mission to provide speedy and sustainable urban housing solutions without compromising quality.

The San Lazaro Residences stand as a testament to effective partnerships between the national government and local units. Utilizing innovative construction techniques and streamlined project management, the complex was completed in just 90 days – a remarkable feat in urban development.

With the integration of 382 residential units and 169 parking slots, the complex addresses both living and mobility concerns for urban dwellers. The inclusion of public health facilities within the development enhances community well-being, reflecting the administration's holistic approach to urban planning.

Mayor of Manila, who collaborated closely with national agencies, echoed the President's sentiments, reinforcing the city’s commitment to institutionalizing accessible housing and sustainable urban growth.

As the country continues to urbanize rapidly, the San Lazaro Residences project serves as a model of how government agencies can unite to deliver dignified, inclusive, and modern housing efficiently, embodying the administration’s vision for a progressive and caring Philippines.
